Thousand Oaks Transit Introduces RADAR - Ride Alerts for Dial-A-Ride

Thousand Oaks Transit announced its new RADAR - Ride Alerts for Dial-A-Ride service. This free service alerts riders about scheduled trips via telephone, email, text message, or a combination of all three. Riders can select which alerts to receive and change how they want to receive them any time. RADAR notifies riders the night before a schedule trip, minutes before or both.

“We are excited to provide this enhanced service to our Dial-A-Ride customers," said Mike Houser, Senior Transit Analyst. “RADAR further enhances the Thousand Oaks Transit Dial-A-Ride service, which annually provides more than 70,000 rides in Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Westlake Village, and unincorporated areas of the county.”

Signing up for this new service is easy. Call 805-375-5467 to opt-in with a Thousand Oaks Transit customer service agent when making a reservation. Tell the agent you want to sign up for RADAR and then choose your alert and notification preferences.

Once signed up, RADAR gives customers an accurate estimate of when their vehicle should arrive in real-time ensuring they have plenty of time to get ready. And if needed, riders can cancel trips early enough to avoid late cancellation and/or no show penalties.
